Grasping More-than-Digital Futures

A research collective for art, craft, education, culture and technology after digital and AI promises

We explore how humans make, teach, learn, sense, and imagine with technologies after the promises of seamless digital progress and artificial intelligence. Our research turns toward the cracks and frictions of the digital, asking where digital technologies become tangible, situated, and open to touch, interpretation, and transformation. As a loose research collective, we work across the intersections of technology, craft, art, and education.

What We Are Grasping Toward

After Digital Promises

We ask what education, art, and culture become when digital tools are ordinary, uneven, material, and politically charged.

Crafted Knowledge

We treat craft, sloyd, making, touch, repair, and situated practice as serious ways of thinking with technology.

Critical Technologies

We study AI, data, platforms, infrastructures, and sustainable computing through feminist, ecological, and cultural lenses.
